Trying to set up bluetooth with another macbook

My friend keeps getting a message when he tries to send me files saying I do not have the necessary services. I can send him files, photos, etc but not the other way around. Any help would be great. Thanks!

check out Bluetooth in System Preferences. make sure it is on and discoverable then open Advanced and try a few settings.

He can find me on his computer(guess that means I've been discovered) and I've tried messing with some settings, but nothing can seem to fix the fact that I can send him files, but my computer wont let me receive any from him.

Check System Preferences>Sharing>Bluetooth Sharing in enabled, I was having a similar problem with that turned off.
