Wife got me a new MBP so I'm still trying to figure it out. I'm trying to share a folder with my windows desktop. Folder sharing is enabled in windows. I 'connect to server' on the MBP using my desktop's IP. I get a box that says 'guest' and 'registered' user. I select registered and it's asking for a username and password for the PC. Is this the router login? I used that and it doesn't take it. I don't have a password on windows. I've tried every possible login I have and nothing works. What is it wanting right here?

Just for anyone searching on here later.....it was wanting my windows admin user/pass. I had never set a password so it wouldn't work. Once I added a windows admin password it worked.

Your Win machine will have a login ID and a password if you set one, even if you have it set to auto-login. Go to your Control Panel, User accounts and you can find your id and set your password.
