Trying to swap my screen with a screen from another phone

OK so I'm a first time poster. my phone got rained on a few days ago. So i found someone that had a phone with some screen problems but works perfectly fine. I can still use the phone i just would like to have a full screen that works (call me crazy lol). So reason for the post is that while my wet phone doesnt work at all, when I go to charge it and turn it on the apple logo will show up very vaguely. im wondering if the screen is still all good just not the phone. so my question is if I were to switch the screens with one from another working phone would it work? And do you think the other screen actually works? And if I tried it and the screen didnt work, would it jack up the phone that I now have? I have posted a picture of what the screen looks like to help
