I have a USB flash drive which I am so far unable to completely erase. When plugged in, a "CDROM" icon appears on the desktop as well as in Disk Utility as well as the drive itself, and I cant seem to get rid of it.

Tried erasing, messing with partitions, and using DriveGenius 2, but no joy.

Any advice? Im trying to format it so it will work on both Macs and PC's, so Im hoping to end up with a FAT32 drive.

Any ideas....?

Go to Disk Utility and click on the drive and go to the Erase tab and at the bottom click erase. That should do it ;D
