Trying very carefully but might need help!

Hello good mac people,


i consider myself to be pretty proficient on a computer but these step by step instructions are a little intimidating.

i am using the instructions from wikipedia....


1st question...

... what is this step:

"creating the cd using mkisofs and a shell (os x and *nix"

---it is necessary not optional, correct??? never heard of it.



i appologize beforehand for any plain stupid questions...

What exactly are you trying to do? triple Boot with Linux as well?

I installed windows and that step is foreign to me.

on the wikipedia instructions at www.wiki.onmac.net after you are finished with making the cd it says

"creating the cd using mkisofs and a shell osx and nix"



i am guessing that i go straight to the repartitioning of the harddrive....

i have downloaded NERO, and the file nero-7.0.8.2eng.exe goes through an extraction process and then ends, but thats it. and when i click on sp2.nrb nothing happens. ....

?
