TTFonts in Elements missing, how to?

Hi, I've just got Photoshop Elements 9 and the old files opened that were created on a Windows machine are missing the correct fonts, I have a Windows TTF that I need but not sure if it will work and where I need to put it so it will show in Elements, Do I just drag it in the Mac Font Book for it to work or...?

Just double click the font (in whatever location it maybe in) and OS X will put it in the proper place for you.

Thanks, I opened it and if offered 'Install Font',

not sure why old files are coming up as 'needs new layout', It's not stayed where they are I can assume
