Like many of you, I've been looking for the perfect case, or bag, or sleeve. I almost bought an applesac, but wanted more protection. I wanted the booqbag, but didn't want to wait til end of Nov.
I ended up with Tucano's Bag for the Macbook. This was not specific to the alum, but more for the older gen. I pulled the trigger on a review on the store.apple.com page.
First off, the quality is great! From pictures it looks like cheap nylon, but it feels much better and it looks more stylish as well.
Fit is good. Not perfect, but it leaves plenty of room for paperwork if you have any. It has a little give, but it's not sliding around at all in the bag. This is a slim bag with good protection.
There are pockets for extra storage, but not too much to make it look too big.
Compared to other bags I own for various 'toys'. I have a Crumpler dSLR bag and although the crumpler is well built, it's too bulky and stiff.
I also have a Brenthaven for my wife's old PB 12" and Brenthaven is also very well built, excellent protection, but no style.
The last bag I frequently use is a Kata backpack that fits my dSLR gear and the notebook. Kata is also well built, less protection than Brenthaven but fits everything.
The Tucano case is for those looking for a slim, light bag that can fit the essentials and nothing else. It has adequate protection (not the best, if u need better go with Brenthaven). But it has the looks and style for someone looking for the modern touch.
I never reviewed an item, so my apologies if I was all over the place.
I hope I made it easier for others to make their decision. If anyone has any questions or want more pics, let me know. (sorry about the poor quality, 3 are from iPhone, 1 is from camera, didn't have time to take more when I was home).
