Call me crazy but I did it! I bought the Tumi leather snap case for the iPad Air. My absolute favorite design is the cover with the one fold that folds into a tab on the back. I find this design to have the most stable stand for typing and upright stand. So when I saw the Tumi with both the one fold design in leather and the snap in back, I was thinking that this is it. This will be my perfect case.
I received the purple case today. It is beautiful! Really well made and top quality. Probably the best workmanship hands down. I guess the saying goes, "You get what you pay for." This case is very expensive at $145 but the workmanship is absolutely perfect. Okay so now what, right? The cover is wicked heavy. And when I say heavy, I mean heavy! I don't have a scale but the cover itself feels like it weighs more than the entire Smart case.
So as beautiful as this case is, the weight will make it a "no go" for me.
At this point after my crazy search with so many cases that I've lost count, I'm done. My "go to" cases will be a black and a red Smart case.
