Hey all,

I have just about dumped my company issued Thinkpad completely, in favor of my Powerbook. But there are still a few nagging little things that I need the Thinkpad for from time to time (I have VPC running on the PB, but performance is sometimes an issue, and some things like my VPN client just don't work correctly). So, I am often stuck lugging two machines around with me to client sites (I'm a consultant). Anyway, when I'm at home, I can use the Remote Desktop Client, and works fine. So, what I would like to do is set SSH on my home network (I have a Linux box running iptables as my firewall), with port forwarding to the Thinkpad on the inside. Then I could tunnel an RDC session through SSH from the outside, and not have to carry the Thinkpad around.

Is this achievable? I think my biggest challenge is that (as far as I can tell) you can't easily point the Microsoft RDC to localhost:port.

Thanks for any advice or help you can provide!
