Turbo Boost is activated most of the time under Windows. How about Mac OS?

Hello. I installed the Intel Turbo Boost monitor on the Bootcamp partition of my i7 MBP 2010. I noticed that even just using the browser, the CPU speed stays at 3-3.2 GHz most of the time. Wonder how often such increase in performance happens under Mac OS/X. It is unfortunate that there is no speed monitor under OS/X.
