Under Tech specs for new 2009 Mac Pro:

"Turbo Boost dynamic performance (up to 3.33GHz on 8-core 2.93GHz system)"

As this is a feature of the chip I'm assuming this is true for the new Quad core as well. Is it? How can I find out? Any online reviews/overviews/etc. that looks at the new chips?

Thanks

Turbo Boost applies every Core i7 based Intel chip. Basically, it dynamically increases the clock speed (basically, overclocking) by switching off unused cores during single-threaded tasks.

Correct. I knew that. I was just trying to figure out if it was Apple marketing scheme to bring that up about the 8-core, but not the 4-core...trying to push the 8 cores instead.

Thanks.
