I still use Turbotax. Today, I downloaded and installed Turbotax 2024. I cannot believe it's still Intel code. How bad must their code base be for them not to be able to check a box and generate a universal binary?

I have been using TT for way over 10 years but I am seriously considering using something else:, from hat I recall:
. does not remember ID info nor password form 10+ years
. have to enter the bank account new every time (how about a checkbox "use same info as last year?"
. and there are several other areas where you have to enter info multiple times manually

I'm not that bothered about it being Intel code, yes, they should update as I only use it a few times nd not for that long

You're right about the code. It doesn't matter because the Intel code runs fine using Rosetta. But it does infer an attitude of laziness on Intuit's part.

Freetaxusa has yet to forget our login and history. Last time we used TurboTax it forgot everything and sent my wife through the roof. That coupled with their lobbying behavior meant we had to find something else. Freetaxusa has been easy to use and actually free.
