also no ability to manually control camera settings

this is the dumbest thing ever made for the iphone.

I think it is hilarious, or rather it would be quite funny to see someone attach that to their Iphone 4S to take a picture.

It doesn't matter what kind of lens you stick in front of it, it still has a tiny sensor and no manual controls. And you're not going to have autofocus or any way to change the aperture.

This is $250 for just the mount. This definitely won't turn your camera into an SLR. The pictures are going to end up a little distorted and grainy. Look at the example shots on that page to see what I mean, especially the last shot with the woman in red. At $250, this will basically get you half-way there to a real entry-level digital.

If I'm going to carry a selection of big glass, I'll carry the DSLR camera body to go with them.

If your good at taking photos you will get decent pictures from a standard 4S. No need to add fancy lenses, just use it as it was intended. If you want SLR quality, buy an SLR.

The sensor isn't be able to resolve the resolution nor meet up with the details my L lenses are capable of delivering. Nor would the AF System do them justice. I'll stick with my 5D MKII and 40D for the big lens use 'cause if I'm going to lug my L's with me they are going to be attached to a decent body.

Fantastic, I was not allowed in a museum today due to my camera gear, and I was only carrying my Micro 4/3s setup. Imagine if I was on full Nikon... What an eloquent package to take advantage of the moment.
