Is there a way to do this? It's just ever so slightly annoying... in the keynotes, you just see them buy stuff without having to put a password in (obviously!)

If it can't be done at the moment, is the option implemented into the 3.0?

i'm wondering the same thing, well sort of. i only really use the App store when i get updates and it asks for my password and that gets annoying, so i just changed my password on iTunes to something much shorter for the mean time.

I agree that it is annoying, but i would rather keep it than not. I like to have that one final reminder that I am about to spend $$. Maybe it would be good to make it optional for free items - like free apps? Not sure why a password is required for that.

It does that so someone can't use the excuse that somebody else used their account to pay for an app so they can get their money back if they don't like the app.
