Turn off apple watch notification when working on Mac?

Is there a setting to turn off SMS notifications (or any other notifications) when sitting and working my mac? i dont get why my apple watch needs to vibrate when receiving SMS when sitting and working on my mac.

When having my iPhone screen on, ill get the notification on my phone and my watch does NOT vibrate for notifications, why cant i have the same when sitting and working on my mac?

Any setting for this?

The watch is constantly communicating with the iPhone but not with the Mac.

No automatic setting I know of, sorry. You could do it manually of course.
