my iPad keeps saying it wants to update and I don't want to update my iOS. There was also a message that says it will auto update if on the plug at 10 pm-5 am. Anyway I can turn this off and stop it from showing up?

I feel the same way. iOS recently has just been pushing updates so aggressively. It's like you don't have choice anymore. It's like ransomeware: update, or we will overwhelm you with notifications.

I just did this hopefully it works

  1. Open the Settings app and go to “General”
  2. Choose “Storage & iCloud Usage”
  3. Go to “Manage Storage”
  4. Locate the iOS software update that is nagging you and tap on it
  5. Tap on “Delete Update” and confirm that you want to delete the update*
  6. Disconnect from wi-fi to avoid the software update downloading itself again
