Turn off backlight off

I know strange title, couldn't think of a better way to put it.

Is there a way to prevent my MBP from the backlight turning off due to inactivity? I have the monitor turning off after 30 minutes, but I wish the backlight would stay on until the monitor turned off completely?

Is this possible at all?

EDIT: other than that program which shakes your courser randomly

You should be able to change that in energy saver in the system preferences.

in Energy Saver preferences under the Battery tab uncheck "Automatically reduce the brightness…".
