Will it be possible to turn off cellular service at will on the watch, once it's activated by a carrier?
What I mean is only turning on the cellular radio(?) only when you make a call? I would keep continuous service activated through Verizon. Otherwise have it turned off and use the Watch as a Wifi only version to extend battery life? There is an airplane mode, but that turns off Wifi, too.
I don't envision making calls on the watch except in an emergency. I'm of a certain age and live alone and had considered one of the medical alert services, but they run $30 to $90 a month, so $10 a month would be a cheaper alternative, since I would have an Apple watch anyway.
I realize that extra advantages gained with cellular service would not be available, but I'm fine with that, if Wifi on the cellular version would work like my current Watch 2, if I turn the cellular radio off.
