I use dimming tape. I want to be able to tell when it's on, but I don't like how bright it is.

I find it less blinding that the aTV3 LED, but it would be nice to be able to control it's brightness.

Apple should provide a way to dim the forward-facing white light. It shouldn’t be that difficult—other companies have been doing it for many years.

While I agree that a setting to control the LED brightness would be nice, I don't see why using a simple solution like LightDims (https://www.lightdims.com/index.php) isn't a reasonable solution. I have been using LightDims for years to tame LED's on other equipment.

Thank you! I have been using electrical tape to completely block out the lights, but sometimes I want to see if something is in fact on, but I don't want to get a suntan or worse blinded by the light. ?
