anyway to do this? i keep turning it off in specific apps, it keeps coming back (it IS off in sys prefs>keyboard>text).

2 reboots later.. my prefs seem to be sticking (ie textedit, pages... etc). just a nuisance that the settings in sys prefs don't actually affect the apps...
