Turn off still photo transition in iMovie?

I'm trying to use iMovie to turn a sound file into a video file so it can be uploaded to YouTube for use in a study (YouTube is the only option). I created an image that just says "Recording 1" and put that into iMovie, but as the recording plays, the still image transitions off the screen. How do I stop that? Seems dumb that the image staying still isn't the default. A moving image is distracting and isn't acceptable in this case. I'm going crazy trying to figure out how to make it stop moving.

Nevermind. The photo didn't all fit. Just had to select the "fit" option for cropping. Not sure how to delete a thread so simply including my solution.
