I have searched and searched. There does not seem to be a way to turn this useless feature off. I do not want to look at my contacts every time I multitask. Why can't I shut it off??? I am using iOS 8 beta 5 so I assume by the GM it still will not be an option to shut off.

I personally like this feature, but only for my favorite contacts. Reminds me of iOS 2 and 3 when you could set double clicking the home button to take you to your phone favorites.
