I was setting up a new iPad, all went well. Then I openen the Photos app. I saw some photos already (probably synced) and then Photos asked me if photo sharing should be turned on. I turned it on, but then all my photos disappeared. I logged in on icloud.com and there I could not see ant photo either. What is going on? Am I doing something wrong?
I already made a backup of the iPhone so I know the photos are somewhere. However I don't dare to open Photos on the iPhone as I'm afraid the photos will disappear there as well.

I guess I got confused because I saw the photos on the new iPad (exactly as on the iPhone), and then I got a popup asking me if I want to turn on iCloud photo sharing. Then all photos were gone.

I am going to take the steps again to make sure I didn't miss something. At least the photos are still on the iPhone and I made an fresh iTunes backup of the iPhone to make sure I don't loose them.
