turning an old inernal harddrive into an external one?

How do I do this? What must I know and do?

you just need an enclosure. you will need to figure out what interface the hard drive is (ide/sata) and what interface you want to use with the computer (usb/esata/firewire) and buy the enclosure that has the correct specs for both.
