iOS 5 looks great, but I know for a fact I won't be using Newsstand at all. Will it have to permanently live on my homescreen or do you think it'll be possible to turn it off?

I hope so, because for me it'll just be unnecessary having it there.

Thanks!! :)

I read a while back that if you don't have anything purchased though NS that it won't show in the final build. I am in the same boat as you, I won't use it and don't want to see it.

it's a default app now like stocks, weather, voice memo's, et al, we're stuck with it whether we use it or not. I'll look at whats around, if nothing i want for it, then it goes on the last page with the stock apps i don't use. no biggie.

I would guess you're stuck with it. Too much money to be made by Apple and publishers.

Unfortunately it can't even go inside of a folder.
