Given that Apple let Path, Google, Facebook and others get access to my contacts without my permission, and that they haven't patched this yet, how do I use contacts on my iPhone without letting apps exploit the hole Apple left open?

I was thinking of just leaving contacts in the SIM, and then moving them back when and if Apple fixes this, but I don't know how to accomplish that.

And is there an app that allows use of contacts but isn't part of the Mail, Contacts, Calendar setup?
