Turning off Edge in Bossprefs locks sim?

I've got the latest Bossprefs and 2.2 on a 2G iPhone.

When I toggle off Edge it cycles or "resprings Ithink" and then locks the sim.

I unlock sim and Edge is back on.

Can't find an answer on this issue yet. Any ideas or links to posts that solve it?
