I would like to turn off the green Isight light on my Macbook could someone please tell me how. I'm sorry if this is in the wrong section! thank you for your helpt.

Just curious why you would want to do that. :)

haha....well for example, once i was chatting with my woman during a lecture and i turned on skype so she could see me typing and i didn't want the guy talking or someone else to know that it was on....

oooooh someone wants to get some hidden camera action going lol ;)

a little well cut piece of black electric tape should do the trick.

or if its a white macbook they have white electrical tape too

You actually mean to tell me that someone around you is going to know that the green light on means you're in a video chat? I'm lucky if I bump into someone at work who even knows what OS X is.

Good point. Plus, wouldn't you want to know if somehow someone remotely turned the thing on and was watching you? :)

You're saying it can't?

Yes, that is exactly what he is saying. Unless you are dumb enough to install some sort of malware/trojan that allows access to your camera than the likelihood of this happening is one in a trillion. If you have the firewall turned on, you have a better chance of your laptops battery exploding and dying in the flames.
