I have an MBA 11" running 10.7.5. I have a 120Gb SSD that is about 50% full.
In order to turnoff legacy filevault, I have used Carbon Copy Cloner to create a bootable clone of the drive on an newly formatted and GUID partitioned external 1Tb USB drive. Once I booted off that drive, I set Filevault to turn off, so that it will decrypt my files. (I plan to clone back the decrypted drive onto the SSD and then upgrade to mountain Lion).

However after about 90% of the decryption, I get a "Filevault encountered an error and will not be turned off" error

it cant be disc space--and I have verified/checked the disc with disc utility

any ideas?
