Guys,

I did a search on the net and in these forums but couldn't come up with any info that was really helpful on this subject:

I have a 12" powerbook, and I plan to buy an LCD monitor to use with it. However, I would like to use an older, external apple USB keyboard with it. My goal is to be able to keep the Powerbook closed at all times and turn it on and off using only the external keyboard.

The external keyboard I have does have a built-in power key, but when I press it, the powerbook won't turn on. I've tested it with a Mac desktop, so I know the button itself works (just not with the powerbook). Is there any software that would allow me to enable this seemingly lost functionality? I'm running OS 10.3.7.
