Hi all,

ok, so I have my iphone receiving email from our exchange server. Which is great and just what I needed. The problem is getting it to stop!!

When I'm in the office, I don't need the mail pushed to my phone as I'm sitting at my desk and can see the mails on my laptop.

So, I go into SETTINGS - MAIL, CONTACTS, CALENDAR - FETCH NEW DATA and turn push off.

sadly, this doesn't work...email is still pushed to my device.

Bellow this, I have Fetch, which states that this will be used when push is not available. So, I'm assuming that if I turn push off, then it will use this setting..so I've set that to manaul.

Nope, still getting emails pushed to my phone.

So, below this I have Advanced, and in here I have to set this to Manual also.

so, now..I'm not getting email. great...except, in order to switch push back on when I leave the office, I have to turn push back on (first page) and then turn the fetch schedule back to push also.

surely that can't be right? I have SBSettings which allows me to quickly turn push off, only if I don't turn the fetch schedule to manual also, I still get email. and the fetch schedule needs to be turned back to push or I don't get emails when I turn push on.

hopefully someone can follw this as it's bloody confusing!! and very annoying.

anyone else suffering the same thing?

thanks
