I have a problem where the output volume on the computer needs to be at a certain level for monitoring audio from the software that controls my audio interface, but i'd like to be able to control certain applications from producing sound.
Classic example of why this would be great is when i have levels set on my interface a certain way, the way i like; i've recorded some music at whatever volume level, i've gone onto listening to itunes at whatever other level, then decide to check some website quickly only to have my ears f*ckin BLASTED by the sound the website starts playing!

Is there any way to stop safari from emitting sound?
