Hi, I have the PX5 7.1 headset. Currently, my PS3 is connected to the wireless station via optical

I have some movies on my macbook pro that have 5.1 audio. How do I watch these with my headset? Can I just pair the headset wirelessly to the macbook pro, and listen in 5.1?

Or, do I need to plug an optical cable from my macbook pro to the wireless station?
