Finally got reboot to work on my ibook g4 running tiger via ppc. (works on leopard too)
so what to do:
- install libusb (dont know if its required but i think so)
- download the new 101 redsnow from (here)
- then download hitboot for getting the fw files without pwnage tool
- extract all archives
open the "HitBoot (CMD+ redj0hnny," folder, then rename the following files:
- iBoot221.img3 to iBoot221pwn.img3
- iBSS221.dfu to iBSS221pwn.dfu
dont rename iBSS211.dfu !!!
- copy iBSS221pwn.dfu, iBSS211.dfu and iBoot221pwn.img3 from the "HitBoot (CMD+ redj0hnny," folder into the "rslite" folder
- Move the rslite folder into you desktop
put your ipod into DFU mode:
finally open Terminal and type in the following commands:
your ipod should reboot now and you can disconnect it from your mac
how to put your ipod into dfu mode:
hold power and home buttons for 10 seconds
release power button, keep holding home button for 7 seconds
credits go to:
veryniceipod for his tut
redj0hnny and hitman for the pack with the firmware files in this tut
the dev team for redsnow!!!
EDIT:
Boot Up App:
I've put the PPC rslite and the renamed files in the app, so all you have to is open up the app and put you ipod in DFU mode click on 1-click boot and it'll boot up you ipod
