TV app Live Activities questions

For teams I am following, will the TV app automatically start Live Activities or do I need to activate it for each game?

Is there a way to show Live Activities only for sports scores (and not any time my Apple TV is being used to watch a show)?

Even though I’m following a team, the Live Activity doesn’t start until I open the app and find the game - it already shows as following and then the Live Activity starts after I close the app

Well, for one of the teams I follow, I don’t even see the option for a Live Activity (the follow button below the score in the TV app) even though the game is on and I see the little check mark in the upper right
