TV app not adding to playcount

When I stream a movie / TV show I've purchased on iTunes through my Apple TV, the playcount only changes if the movie or episode has never been played.
If it has been played the playcount doesn't increase.
This is only if I play it straight from the iTunes store. If I stream it from my computer the playcounts change.
Anyone else finding this?
 
I’ve never noticed. I don’t really use iTunes extensively anymore. When I do use it it’s for Homesharing. But I’m not anal about by iTunes history/usage anymore. I keep track of my play history with Trakt.tv. I am anal about my Trakt history though.
