I am assuming that you want an offline app since you know, TVguide.com usually works for that sort of thing.

The only 'App' that I know of that does this is EyeTV. It comes free with all of the Elgato hardware products and includes a years subscription to a TV guide service (varies depending on where you live).

The app will download about 2 weeks worth of programs and has excellent search facilities including smart folders. Not sure how much it costs to buy just the application on it's own although it should be listed on the Elgato website.
