TV hookup

I am planning to get my first iMac now. I have done some research, but nothing is recent. I need to run my cablebox through my computer and onto my screen in my office setup. What is the current products people suggest for watching Cable tv on the imac.

We use an Elgato EyeTV HD hooked up to a 27" iMac and a Verizon FIOS HD set top box. Works great and can access all encrypted channels that are part of my TV Plan. Also acts as a DVR (with recordings stored on the imac) and has a $5 ios app which provides access to live TV and recordings from our iDevices.
