I have a Mac Pro 2010 connected to a HP LP2475w monitor

I have a 40" Samsung Smart TV Connected to the Mac Pro via MDP - HDMI

Everything was working fine, I could enable / disable the Samsung TV via the 'Disable Monoitor' app ver 1.92

After connecting a HDMI cable to the monitor from a Elgato Game capture HD device, The Samsung Smart TV is no longer detected.

In System Prefs - Displays I cant select the Samsung Smart TV despite being connected - somehow, connecting a HDMI to the HP Monitor has knocked something out and perhaps has stopped some sort of signal getting thru

The hdmi goes from the tv direct to the Mac Pro so seems a bit odd its no longer working :/

Solution - turn off mac / tv - unplug hdmi at both ends - turn mac on then plug hdmi in at mac then on tv

Must have been a power spike thing when I plugged in the hdmi to the monitor

So turn it off and on again! A sort of hdcp handshake and cuddle needs to happen
