Hey all! In my ongoing pursuit to make tv the absolute one stop shop in home entertainment, I first shed my CD player, followed by my DVD player, then my cable subscription, and now I'm hoping to replace my radio tuner. I'd like to have a closer look at its Radio capabilities, officially supported as of v2.1.

I've tried finding streaming sources of my local radio and so far it's been pretty much a blind hit or miss. Could we compile a list of which streaming formats work, and how to get them organized and playing on tv?

Formats:

Plays

Doesn't Play
.asx

Setting Up A Playlist:

1. Create a Playlist called Radio (and any other specific ones i.e. "Talk Radio")
2. Add Radio stations:
a) Menu - Advanced > Open Audio Stream
b) Drag a radio station from the Radio library (under Libraries)
3. Sync tv. Your radio selections will be under Music > Playlists.

I'll update this first post as more knowledge is shared in this thread

^^^ I've updated the directions on how to sync online Radio stations to tv. I'm still searching for formats that work (and for those that don't).

In the meantime, does anybody know if Apple dynamically updates their Radio station playlist in the Radio library in iTunes or is it updated along with iTunes itself? How do they choose which ones are listed there?
