I've got a 5G iPod video. Until last night, I had a bunch of video clips on there - some music videos, some TV shows, some other cartoons, etc. Last night I discovered that if you "Get Info" on videos in iTunes, you can change how they're classified (be it "Movie", "Music Video", or "TV Show"). So in the interests of better organizing things, I changed the classification of the TV shows to "TV Show" (seems reasonable, right? But now they don't appear on my ipod. There's no "TV Show" category on my iPod, and they no longer appear under "Movies" or anyplace else.
The only reason I can figure is that the shows don't have names, really, so the ipod might not know how to list them. By "don't have names," I mean that if you click the "Videos" playlist in iTunes and then arrange it in list (rather than thumnail) view, there's a listing for "Show" in place of "Artist." But none of them HAVE names there. And I can't for the life of me figure out how to change that. Unlike with songs, where just clicking the blank title box will give you a cursor and the abilty to input a title, clicking the blank space under "Shows" does nothing. What's more, if you click "Get Info," there's no listing (that I can find, anyway) for "Show," even once you've indicated that the video is a TV Show. Entering the show's title in the "Artist" field does nothing. This confuses me to no end. How do I edit the "Show" field? Anyone? Worst come to worst, I can just label them all as "Movie" instead of "TV Show," but, dammit, if there's an option for "TV Show," I'd like to be able to use it. Help.
