I just got done installing Windows on my MacBook Pro 15' 2011 and am currently having problems with the external display. I have it connected to my Sony Bravia through the Mini Display to HDMI adapter and have the resolution in the display options turned up to 1920 x 1080. However, there are black bars on the sides and top and bottum of the screen. I've also checked the TV's settings as well and none of them change this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
