I just like to know if you guys know of a mac-compatible tv tuner that can stream HD channels from my HD cable box (SA Explorer 4250 HD). I'm currently using the firwire SDK to stream the HD channels from the cable box to my iMac via firewire cable. But these have some problems. First I'm not able to watch some channels like YESHD. Second there is no program guide. third there is 2 different applications for watching tv live and recording. Fourth, it takes time switching channels. I tried the elgato eytv hybrid but it didn't work. Apparently it seem to stream over the air HD signals. I'm looking for a tuner that can stream HD channels directly from the HD cable box. Anyone know of any please reply. Aren't there any firewire tuners available for Mac?
