I have a tv tuner hooked up to my windows machine.. is there any way i can make the settings so it records directly into that format so i dont need to convert or anything?? if not whats an all in one converting software that will allow me to convert all my videos into the proper format, which im not to sure what it is lol..

not sure about the windows crap but for the mac get yourself a free copy of "handbrake" and search around in these threads for settings and how to's. its been talked about on at least 10 threads in the past week alone. reading this link will at least get you started http://diveintomark.org/howto/ipod-dvd-ripping-guide/ . it doesnt just rip dvds. you can use handbrake as a converter too.
