tvOS 11.2: ATV 4k Upscaler vs Samsung KS8/9xxx upscaler

Has anyone noticed any improvements in the 4k upscaler?

I noticed before 11.2, the internal upscaler in my KS8000 telly, was a lot better in netflix shows, than the Apple TV.

I noticed before 11.2, the internal upscaler in my KS8000 telly, was a lot better in netflix shows, than the Apple TV.

Im running an OLED B6, but with 11.1 and manually set to 4K SDR 24hz I actually thought the ATV was the better upscaler of lower res content to 4K, especially sub 1080p content like 720p TV PVR recordings and DVD rips. 1080p stuff I found was a wash.

Haven't really noticed a difference with 11.2.

OTOH if Apple was upscaling and applying fake HDR if it was say set to 4K Dolby, that looked worse than the upscaling of my TV. The Frame Rate and Color Space switing in 11.2 fixes that issue.
