Updated to TVos 14 today (Canada) through the normal built in software update, and Amazon Music no longer plays. It loads, shows the album covers, but then shows a black page once a song is selected. Only the Back, Pause, Forward buttons show at the bottom and a white rectangle in the top right. Chatted with Amazon, and they’re telling me that their app is sensing the jailbreak beta. My version shows as 14.0 (18J386). I’ve seen lots online about the beta version and Amazon, but I got this as an average consumer, not dev.
Thoughts? I’ve deleted and reinstalled the app a few times, with restarts in between. Nada.

Ditto, though in the US. Chatted w/ two Amazoners who were clueless though one claimed the beta issue was not the problem (though he couldn't tell me what was). Powercycled, restarted, etc. Reinstalled again, no change. Since the update, it will only play one song at a time on a black screen.

I have the same issue. Also in the US.

I have 2 Apple TV 4Ks. Both have the same app install, Amazon Music. The app works normally on one of the Apple TVs not on the other. I've tried restarting the Apple TV, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, and I even reset to factory settings and delete all data from the Apple TV. Nothing has worked.

As I wrote this, I decided to check the device that Amazon Music worked on. Turns out that device hadn't been updated to tvOS 14. After I updated, Amazon Music stopped working.

Thanks for your reply! Did you let Amazon know? They are telling me that the tvOS 14 is beta, and To wait until it drops for real. It works on my iOS 14 devices, just not tvOs.

I had a similar situation with the Prime Video App after updating to tvOS 14.
Started to play an episode, black screen, loading spinning gear and that's it.
Even deleting the App and downloading it again didn't solve it.

What solved the issue was just logging out of the Prime Video App and logging back in

Hi - thanks for your reply! The video works for me, but not music. I did try your awesome suggestion of logging out and in on the app on the tv device, but still no. :-/ I keep deleting and reinstalling the app in hopes it’s been updated or something. :) I’ll have to cancel it at the end of next month if it’s still not working, as it’s only the music I want.

Thanks - i had called them, and they told me its the beta os, but it came from the apple updater built in, and the version code googles as the real code. They even checked to see if my acct was showing as US instead of Canada. I sent a feedback message to Apple so they know that’s what amazon says. Thank you though! :)

I'm using the 4K model ATV. This stripped-down control panel in my Amazon Music Unlimited has been exhibiting a black, vacant appearance for about a week now, while on TV OS 14. Needless to say, it's still the same with the recent TV OS 14.1 update.

I should add that the disappearance of on-screen controls and graphics seem to apply ONLY to "Recents", which is where I typically navigate to; mainly, "My Soundtrack", which coincidentally, works as it always has while listening in the Windows desktop app.

Thanks for the reply. :) I just tried playing a song that I have never listened to prior, and still same thing. :( Later today I may try resetting my router as I‘ve tried just about everything else. It’s so strange that it functions right up until selecting a song from an album to play.

Amazon updated the music app this morning, and it is now working. Hope they tell their support team. ;-)

No, I haven’t contacted Amazon directly. I don’t think tvOS 14 is beta anymore. Otherwise I’m seeing the same thing. Works on iOS and iPadOS, but not on appleTV.
