TVOS Update 4 Hours

So updating Apple TV with my cable broadband. But it is saying 4 hours 🤷🏻‍♂️

im guessing everyone is hitting the Apple servers today 😀

I think the iOS release was pushed 1.5 hours...and then gave a 1.5 window for potential release. so, not sure if you are actually downloading yet or if there was any delayed release here and it is just waiting.
 
Jerry! He's such a piece of work. Sitting way back there all by himself in that dark cubi, I guess has gotten the best of him. Too bad he does ALL the progress thermometers for EVERYTHING!! That explains why they are ALL wrong . . .

I've had it for a while and don't remember any updates taking anymore that 10 minutes or so . . .
 
My download went for about 25 mins only but now that its at the step 1 of 2 preparing update the progress bar is filled maybe 5% only and has been there stuck for over 20 mins now....
Was it the same for everyone else?

EDIT: ok well that was weird suddenly in an instant like 1 second the progress bar flashed and filled instantly.
Weird.

I had a similarly long estimate. I rebooted the AppleTV and hit update again and it downloaded in 1 minute the second time 🤷‍♂️
 
Download and install, >10mins, I guess it's a fair while after launch, so maybe not so busy, but quick and easy for me in AUS.
 
Anybody else notice Britbox is now broken and of course has been broken throughout the TVOS 14 beta. Britbox seems to have nothing to say about it either on either their website or their Facebook page.
 
Stuck at preparing update for last 10 minutes - hope the atv hasn't been bricked...

Nvm - it's restarted and the light is flashing...

Same for me as well, along with ITV player
 
Mine updated again and it felt like the "Normal Amount of Time". I trust/think that was the final on the GM for tvOS14.
