TWC App via airplay?

Hey guys, I was looking at getting an apple tv for my parents for Christmas. They are on TWC and I was wondering if the ipad app allows airplay to the apple tv via? I know some apps block the video. I'm not looking to jailbreak it or anything.

The Apple TV already has a Weather Channel app with all the information they'll need. It even has local forecasts and videos! ##
 
If they have cable what's the point of airplay?

Get a roku which has it built in or a samsung tv which also has it built in

Or just watch it on the tablet

the question was...does the time warner cable app on iphone/ipad allow airplay on the apple tv?
 
you can just airplay your whole screen can't you? I'm away for the weekend so no apple tv, otherwise i'd verify. (also airplay doesn't appear on all generations of ipad/iphone) but for me, I'm quite sure i've airplayed my entire screen (so netflix for example on fullscreen on my iPad to the atv...
 
No, the TWC app doesn't support Airplay at all, even Airplay mirroring.

We do it via our Slingbox, but are really holding out for the TW app. May pick up a Roku in the meantime...

Apps have the ability to BLOCK Airplay. Apparently TWC Blocks the ability to use Airplay (or Airplay/Mirror).
 
Found the solution. Select ur apple tv but don't chose mirrioring. Play some music through ur apple tv from the iPad then open up twc app...works almost flawless except ur gonna wanna change ur auto-lock to never
