tweak mac osx appearance

hi,

i use windows xp and osx on a regular basis and i find the visual appearance totally different. i have a 1650*1050 resolution screen and when switching between the two os i find it weird sometimes.

i find the icons and fonts and general desktop on xp small and sharp while on osx i find it big and bold.

is there a way in osx to make things smaller such as icons/fonts etc

From finder, go to View --> Show View Options. You can select the icon and text size here.

Also look in System Preferences for your Font Smoothing option. Search for it... don't remember the section.

Ah that's good to know. Set mine a while ago and couldn't remember. And seeing as I wasn't doing anything, I was too busy to look.
