Tweak to display badge on default calendar icon?

I'm wondering if there's a tweak that displays the number of events today as badge on the calendar icon. As far as I know it only displays invitations.
I would like it to display the total number of events listed under my calendar account today. Any suggestions?

sounds like a really good idea. wake up in the morning, glance at the icon to see how many things are on the agenda for the day without opening the app.....hope someone comes up with something if there isn't one already
